Would you get a Kindle or a Sony Reader if you could download all the books you already own?
E-Reader RCA - Lexi

If there was a way for me to get all the books I already own onto a Kindle or Sony Reader I would get one now. What about you?
(I principled want to know if you would, I don't pine for to know why it isn't an option or how they would do it if they chose to do so)
I'm thrilled for the answers so far. Let me clarify that you would be able to download all of the books you own now for disburden.

the difference between the sony reader digital book and kindle by amazon?
E-Reader RCA - Lexi

I legitimate learned that i am getting the Kindle from my husband for christmas.(so on a high) Anyway i was looking at the add for target and came across the digital reader from sony. Does anyone have knowledge of what the difference is??? If so which one is better then??? thanks( although i am keeping the Kindle -its from my hubby.)

In beyond to the advantages mentioned by the other posters, the Kindle has on more biggest one - the selection available. Amazon currently offers about 185,000 titles in Kindle constitution, and they're adding more all the time. The last time I checked, the Sony only had about 20,000 titles nearby. With that much selection available, you can pretty much vouch for always having something to read that you will enjoy.

I got the Kindle for my birthday and true-love it. You can put other texts on it besides the Kindle format. And music and can go on the internet.

I have a Kindle and I dearest it. My understanding is that the Kindle library on Amazon is only obtainable to Kindle users.

Hands On With Amazon's Zippy, Alluring Kindle Washington Post

For the first metre, I could comfortably hold a Kindle e-reader in one hand. At 8.7 ounces, the Kindle is not the lightest such thingumajig on the market-the Kobo eReader is nearly one ounce lighter, also with a 6-inch splendour, and the Bookeen Cybook Opus is even lighter still, at 5.3 ounces. But it is lighter than Barnes & Upper-class's Nook (11.6 ounces for Nook Wi-Fi , 12.1 ounces for Retreat Wi-Fi + 3G ). And the new Kindle is 15 percent lighter than its antecedent (which weighed in at 10.2 ounces); between its lighter mass and its more compact design, I could immediately tell that using the third-propagation Kindle would be a more pleasing experience than with earlier models. The section felt very balanced in-hand, and the buttons felt like they were in within easy reach, ergonomic places (more on that in a moment).

What's notable is that Amazon achieves its intention improvements even while adding features (notably, Wi-Fi), and boosting the colander technology.

Clearly, the new Kindle looks vastly unlike. For starters, it now comes in graphite, like its big fellow-creature, as well as in white; in my experience, the darker border enhances readability, as would be expected presupposed the visual perception a dark border provides. But the array is dramatically better in its own regard: Like the Kindle DX (Graphite), the Kindle now has a 6-inch E-Ink Cream display, which boasts faster refresh rates and 50 percent superior contrast. As on Kindle DX (Graphite), blacks look more stable, and text is smoother.

The physical design is smaller, too-by 21 percent, according to Amazon. If you look at the numbers alone, it doesn't pet as if that much has been shaved off: The new model measures a stout 7.5-by-4.8-by-.34 inches, as compared to the 8-by-5.3-.36 inches of the Kindle 2. But the change felt more dramatic when holding the device (an act also made easier by the rubberized patronage).

To achieve this smaller design, Amazon has essentially trimmed the ghastly space around the bezels, to give the device a tighter and more unwasteful presentation. The effect is that the device is now dominated by its 6-inch cover, although there's still enough room around the edges for your fingers to comfortably arrive. The keyboard has been tightened, with the keys slightly closer, the row of numbers removed (to get to numbers, you now have to mob the symbol button, much like on a touchscreen cubicle phone's keyboard). The navigation buttons have been clustered together and rearranged; and more uncommonly, the page forward and back buttons have shrunk dramatically, to proper one-quarter of an inch wide.
