how much does internet cost for a verizon smartphone without a data plan?
i valid bought a SMT8500 smartphone from verizon, and one of the employees told me that if i were to use the internet on my phone it would outlay $1500 dollars, (yes 1,500) to download one verso. So for all you cell phone Genius's is this precise?

there are plans too that bunch voice and data but if you are on a family aim the 44.99/month is your only option.

Verizon users outpace iPhone owners in data usage CNN International
( CNET ) -- Verizon Wireless smartphone customers use 25 percent more matter than AT&T iPhone customers, thanks in large part to new Verizon's new Android smartphones, a modern study indicates.
Validas, a company that analyzes room phone bills and usage for consumers and corporate customers, analyzed 20,000 consumer phone bills between January and May of 2010 and discovered that Verizon Wireless smartphone customers ravage on average about 421 megabytes per month. Meanwhile, AT&T iPhone users drain roughly 25 percent less data, or about 338 megabytes per month.

The comparison between smartphone data convention on Verizon's network and iPhone data usage on AT&T's network is outstanding to note, because iPhone users have typically been viewed as the heaviest facts users in the entire mobile market.
The in reality that Verizon is seeing a major uptick in data operation in the past six months, largely due to new Android smartphones, could be a key predictor of wireless details usage patterns going forward. If the trends proceed, Verizon could see an explosion in data usage.
So far, Verizon's network hasn't faced any significant hiccups due to the onslaught of new data traffic. This is in distinction to AT&T's network, which, over the past three years since the iPhone was launched, has been criticized for dropping calls and present slower than expected data download speedson their iPhones in some parts of the state.
"Verizon's network is holding up really well as it adds more observations traffic," said Ed Finegold, chief analytics commissioner for Validas. "Verizon has always had a reputation for a solid network. And it looks like so far, it has been adept to handle the additional traffic."
As Verizon continues to retail more Android devices, the carrier will likely put its network to the check up on even further. Smartphone data usage started exploding for Verizon when the callers launched its first Android phones in the fourth station last year, Finegold said. With more Android devices coming on the superstore in the next few months, it's likely that the volume of Android smartphones on Verizon's network will on the rise.
