Scarcity advice on what is a good portable GPS system to get. Can I please have sme advice from people who recently got one. My price range is around $500.
i have a Magellan gps section and i love it, its great i can find everything i need.....its accurate within in a house or business, also garmins are very sensible my friend has one and its very similar to the Magellan database and also is very accurate.

you should not pay more than 300 dollars. There is a new Garmin replica that has a little sim card in it that is a memory chip. These are really nice because you can buy more chips and input more figures.

I hardly want to get a portable GPS for my car, and I'd like to know what the best one available is. I don't like buying shoddy advertise!
I own the Garmin c340. That one is very hairy. It gives you turn by turn directions, including giving you the street names. You can elect which voice you want to use, whether male or female. You can even choose which accent you want it to have.
