i have a Magellan gps module and i love it, its great i can find everything i need.....its on target within in a house or business, also garmins are very saintly my friend has one and its very similar to the Magellan database and also is very on the mark..they are really two great machines, i also worn this site to buy mine and my friend used it also..straight wanted to add i have driven across country with both a garmin and the magellan on our motorcycles we never had any problems and never had to input a new map and they both run off of 20gigs of recollection...

What is the best portable GPS device on the market?
I only just want to get a portable GPS for my car, and I'd like to have knowledge of what the best one available is. I don't like buying crappy merchandise!
I own the Garmin c340. That one is very worthwhile. It gives you turn by turn directions, including giving you the boulevard names. You can choose which voice you be to use, whether male or female. You can even choose which emphasize you want it to have.
The unit also has a point of interest item face which allows you to find the nearest location of any restaurant, B & B, gas station, car wash, bank, etc. no material what location you happen to be.

What is a good portable GPS that has Mandarin voice playback?
I am looking for a kindly, decent GPS, nothing too pricey, but a portable one, that has Mandarin Forum playback-turn by turn sailing and also includes Canada. I like the thinner ones as opposed to the large looking ones.

How do I put my portable GPS on my car dashboard?
I bought a TomTom portable GPS seamanship for my car but the equipment will only allow you to stick it to the car windshield... I don't like it on the windshield because it blocks my judgement.. Is there any thing I can buy that allows me to twig it to the dashboard or somewhere else near other than the windshield?

What is a good portable GPS system to buy for my car?
I stress to get a portable GPS system.
It cannot be an in-dash one because I have a 2000 Toyota Camry.
Also it must be one of the talking ones that tells you where to go. I will be traveling from Indiana to St. Louis so I exigency one that has an accurate map.
