My forefather-in-law got one for Xmas and I was trying to find a place (other than the Tom Tom website) to get them for his GPS unit. The official website charges for maps (Clumsy!!!!)

It should have the latest maps on it. Are you looking for POI (points of interest) files? ie. Starbucks, Harley, End etc.

When you buying your gps, the unit will come with up to date maps. In a year or two you may want to update these maps to exhibit road changes. Map updates will typically cost about $50 dollars for the portable units like the TomTom.

What assign you like GPS Tom Tom more than Garmin ?
Someone offer me a new GPS Tom-Tom 920T for $425, but i used to have Magellan maestro 4040 & Garmin Nuvi 300.
I dont have any sustain with Tom Tom.
i like garmin advance than tom-tom. the map for garmin is more detailed(in the US) than tom-tom. Tom Tom is a huge European based navigation system whom is working their way into the US.
