I'm off to college next year and my parents said they'll get me whichever I want, and I covet to make sure I'm getting what I need.
There are in truth quite a few tablets you could get. The iPad is probably the most popular and has the most features but is also quite expensive. You could get a Google Android tablet, nothing but Google it, they're only about £80(~$150).

I was reflective about how silly Ebook readers are, because they are so open to crime.
But then again that's considerate of like saying "I will never buy a computer because it will just attract theft. No one wants to steal a pen and weekly and I can do all my research at the library".
