i5 with 1.3ghz is better or worse than the dual core 2.2 ghz?

I'm buying a tablet pc from HP.
The old TX2 series had a dual substance 2.2 ghz, and the new TM2 series that replaced the TX2 series have a i5 1.3ghz and 3mb cache.

it is slower. uniquely for games and applications that are older and cant use hyperthreading (multiple cores). For example, an old game may lack a 2.1ghz processor, but since it can only pull 1 core, the 1.3 wont work.
