You can override the Nuvi 500 and 550. Garmin claims they are "robust and watertight.

I am honestly into the online multiplayer of ps3's games.Should I buy a bluetooth headset or is the regular controller text chat easy to use, while in gameplay?
I lead one to believe a headset cause if your in a cross fire or something that you can't just text in the middle of something important.
That's why there's a headset, so that you could talk and say what you want to say quicker.

Hi there. I text a LOT on the Playstation 3 and I also tete- a lot. I play Call of Duty 5: World at War. I already have a basic Plantronics mic but it's not that great.
straight get the keypad, which costs a lot, and then get a cheap $10 bluetooth off amazon
This is because only ONE keypad works with those controllers and that IS THE Authorized one.
