Netbook? ?

I am intellectual of getting a ASUS 8.9" Eee 4GB PC Netbook Computer with Linux from Butt. Do you have one of these? What do you think of it? Do you like it?

Could I like a note papers on it and like do homework and obstruct on it? Also what colors does it come in?

Netbooks to woman are designed to do little more than write e-mails, do parley processing, and do a little web surfing (streaming HD video is thorny). On the plus side they are ultra portable. If you can intermission until March or April, I would hold out and get one of the new machines that ASUS is growing to be putting out (Eee 1000HE or T91 or T101). These machines will have more power and will have more features. As far as Linux is perturbed, Easy Peasy is the best OS for these machines. Windows can be more retention intensive and can be harder on the battery. When Windows 7 comes out it might be a opposite story, but Linux packs the most features for a smaller "footprint". Contemplate this helps and good luck in your ruling.

Also: NewEgg.com (or even Amazon.com at times) might make a better deal.

How do I connect to internet with a netbook?

I have the LG x110 and was wondering how to walk on the wireless network. Also this netbook comes with 3G, which i have no outlook what it is.

How do I connect my new netbook to use wifi on my exisiting router?

I have a laptop connected to dsl (SBC) modem and Belkin router. Today I got a new netbook that I hunger to connect to the internet using the wifi highlight. At this time I do not wish to network the 2 computers. How can I wind up this? (I'm not a techie) Thanks

Does the new notebook have a built in wifi Christmas card? If so..
1) Double-click on the "WiFi Bearing" icon. It can be found in the system tray at the bottom of the laptop filter.

2) Click on "Properties."

3) Special the "Wireless Networks"

4) Use the "Add" button at the bottom of the dialog if your WiFi network isn't in the "At one's fingertips Networks" section.

5) Click on "Configure" when you see your network's SSID in the "Ready Networks."

6) Enter your network's SSID and WEP key.

7) Click on "Start," then prefer "Connect To" and "Wireless Network Interrelationship." Your notebook should then be able to access the WiFi network and braze to the internet.

How do you load a new operating system or other software on a netbook?

I have a netbook which has no cd/dvd byway. How would I load a new operating system or other cd based software onto it?

You trouble a external CD Drive connected by USB to do this.
Only apple has a way with the Macbook Air.

What Netbook would you recommend that has decent battery life?

What Netbook would you back that has decent storage space, has as full vastness keyboard as possible (10" sort out) has long battery life (eg five hours) runs XP and is good-looking well built?

I also wondered if it is easy to synchronise your Netbook with your Desktop so that you can regularly update your files and settings back and forth between the two for things such as Favourites, Contacts, Photos, Music etc.

You have asked the rectify guy! Don't waste your time with anything but the ASUS EeePC 1000HE (impute sure you get the "HE" ideal). The battery can last up to 9.5 hours. Typically I get about 7 hours out of mine but that's because I am always online (7 hours is much longer than most netbooks). Another enormous thing about the 1000HE is the keyboard, it's a chiclet opulence keyboard and it is really easy to strain on for a netbook.
